Arsenal’s U16s edged out Chelsea 4-3 in a thrilling London derby on Saturday, thanks largely to a hat-trick by Emerson Nwaneri, younger brother of Ethan Nwaneri.
Nwaneri, who is in his final year as a schoolboy with Arsenal, has impressed this season with his versatility, capable of midfield or right-back duty.

He has already trained with the U18s and featured in some friendlies, showing that the club see him as a player for the near future.
The win and Nwaneri’s standout performance come amid growing interest in his national allegiance. He is eligible to represent Nigeria through his father, but has also been involved with England youth training schemes at U15 level.
