Enugu Rangers picked up their second win of the season in a slim win over Katsina United in a reshcheduled Nigeria Premier Football League fixture on Monday morning.
The tie was moved to Monday following weather conditions in Enugu, making the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium unplayable after the first half ended goalless.
However, Godwin Obaje’s goal in the second half made the difference in the tie as the Flying Antelopes secured maximum points for the second time his season.
Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side started the season with a surprising goalless draw against newcomers, Kun Khalifa, before Warri Wolves handed them their first loss of the season.
Enugu Rangers’ first win came in the first week of September as they recorded a comfortable win over former Champions, Plateau United.
However, the 2023/2024 champions lost against Kano Pillars and dropped points to Wikki Tourists in Bauchi.
The win against Katsina United takes the Flying Antelopes two points off the relegation zone with eight points from six matches.
