The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) produced exciting action across eight centres today as Matchday 2 fixtures were concluded.
At the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Rivers United edged Kwara United 1–0 to secure their first win of the season, while Warri Wolves delighted their home fans with a convincing 2–0 victory over Rangers International. Plateau United, however, stumbled at home, losing 2–1 to a resilient Katsina United side in Jos.

Enyimba made their home advantage count in Aba with a narrow 1–0 win against Niger Tornadoes, while Nasarawa United also picked up maximum points after defeating Abia Warriors 1–0 in Lafia. Bayelsa United looked impressive in Yenagoa, easing past Barau 2–0 to continue their bright start to the season.

In Kano, Kano Pillars were held to a 1–1 draw by Wikki Tourists, while Ikorodu City and El-Kanemi Warriors cancelled each other out in a goalless affair at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
The results mean Bayelsa United sit top of the early standings with two wins from two, while Rivers United, Enyimba, and Nasarawa United have also made promising starts. Elsewhere, teams like Rangers International and Kwara United will be hoping to bounce back quickly after disappointing weekends.
