Enyimba ended their five-game winless streak with a home victory over Plateau United at the Aba International Stadium.

The Aba Elephants came into the tie having not won in five games, losing three matches, and drawing two.

Two second-half goals from Paul Oeeh and Ufere Chinedu secured the win and a clean sheet for Enyimba.

The win also takes Enyimba out of the drop zone as they move two places off the relegation, but tied on points – 36 with Kano Pillars.

Usman Abd’Allah won his second game in charge as Remo Stars’ new manager as the defending champions picked up a win against Nasawara United.

Stanley Joseph and Okoro Ibe got on the score sheet in the 2-1 win over the visitors in Ikenne.

Despite the win, the Sky Blue Stars are still in the relegation zone. Remo Stars occupy the 19th spot with 33 points.

Shooting Stars secured a late winner over Wikki Tourist in Ibadan to keep climbing into the top four zone.

The Oluyole Warriors led 2-1 in the first half courtesy of goals from Sodiq Ibrahim and Lucky Emmanuel.

However, the visitors crept back into the game with John Taiwo grabbing the equaliser in the 54th minute.

After over 35 minutes of dominance over the visitors with waves of attack, Shooting Stars midfielder, Al Ameen, scored the winner in the 88th minute.

Shooting Stars are now in the fourth spot with 47 points, one above Abia Warriors in fifth position.
