Eric Chelle has taught the fans, media and other interested parties the correct pronunciation of his name.
The correct pronunciation of his last name created a bit of confusion when his appointment was announced last week.
Some pronounced last name as “Tchelle” using the voiceless palatal affricate consonant sound /ʈʃ/ in the beginning , while others opted for voiceless palatal fricative /ʃ/ sound.
However, Eric Chelle showed fans how to pronounce his full names when asked by Nigerian journalist “MikeThePundit” during his visit to the CHAN Eagles camp.
The 47-year-old with his French intonation pronounced his name properly.

His last name “Chelle” shares the same pronunciation as the “Shell.”
