Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has urged Fulham to consider signing Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze.

Fulham have been reportedly linked to the AC Milan winger this summer as the former youth international continues to get less game time.

Hargreaves shared his thoughts after Iwobi’s stellar performance in Fulham’s one-all draw against Manchester United at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

Iwobi provided the assist to Emile Smith Rowe’s equalizer in the second half as the Cottagers secured a point after Leny Yoro’s controversial opener after the hour mark.

Owen Hargreaves, in his post-match reactions, expressed his admiration for the Super Eagles winger but urged Fulham to add a semblance of what Iwobi brings on the left to the right side of attack.

At the start of the game, they looked too passive, showing Manchester United too much respect.

“But one thing he (Marco Silva, Fulham’s coach) has is one of the most experienced teams in the division. They hang in there and try to get a result, like they did against Brighton last week.

“I just feel they need another winger. I love Robinson and Iwobi on the left channel, two exceptional athletes. Maybe somebody off that right-hand side that can score some goals.”

Meanwhile, Fulham are considering a move for FC Basel forward Philip Otele and/or Alex Iwobi. The 26-year-old winger has two goals and two assists in four Swiss Super League games this season.

Philip Otele scored nine goals and four assists in 18 league games last season for FC Basel after two years at the United Arab Emirates’ Al Wahda.
