Mainz sealed the win in the fifth minute of added tome with a Japanese-Korean onnection as Jae-Sung Lee met Kaishiru Sano’s lofted pass with a header to help Mainz remain unbeaten.
Meanwhile, Slovenian side, Celje remain unbeaten in the Conference League group stage.
Celje came from a goal down to beat Legia Warsaw 2-1 courtesy of two second half goals from Nikita Iosifov and Zan Karnicnic.
Samsunspor are also unbeaten so far in the Conference League.
The Turkish Super League side brushed aside Malta’s Hamrun in a 3-0 victory at home.
