Nottingham Forest took apart Ipswich Town at Portman Road to continue their chase for Champions League football next season.

Super Eagles duo Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi featured in the match as the Tricky Trees secured maximum points on Saturday afternoon away from home.

While Ola Aina played the entirety of the match, Taiwo Awoniyi came on for New Zealand big man Chris Wood late in the second half.

Former Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga had an impressive outing as he bagged a brace in the 4-2 win.

The Swedish winger took his Premier League goals to tally to five as he scored twice in the first half after Nikola Milenkovic’s opener.

Ipswich Town were in sixes and sevens as the visitors took a very comfortable lead into the half time break.

Nottingham Forest held on to their lead and a clean sheet until Swedish midfielder Jens Cajuste reduced the deficit with eight minutes to the end of regular time.

While Ipswich Town tried to stage a comeback, substitute Jota Silva scored to restore to the three-goal advantage.

George Hurst scored a header from Dara O’shea’s cross as the match ended in a 4-2 loss – Ipswich fourth consecutive in the league.

Nottingham Forest remain in third place and are five points above Chelsea in fourth who take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
