Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have arrived in the capital city of Chile , Santiago, ahead of their FIFA U-20 World Cup second round fixture against rivals Argentina.
Nigeria arrived in Santiago on Tuesday morning after sealing qualification for the knockout stage following a one-all draw against Colombia on Sunday.
The Flying Eagles go into the fixture as underdogs with one win in three matches in the group stage, while Argentina take on Nigeria, having won all three matches in the first round.
Argentina are the most successful country in the history of the competition with six titles, with their last title in 2007.
However, the Flying Eagles pose as a threat to the young La Albiceleste, having knocked them out of the last edition on home soil.
Two second-half goals from Beji and Rilwan Sarki ended Argentina’s dream of winning a seventh title.
Nigeria and Argentina will contend for a place in the last eight of the competition on Wednesday night. Kick-off 8.30 p.m.
