Ghanaian priest claims spiritual plan against Harry Kane ahead of England clash

Ghanaian traditional priest Nana Kwaku Bonsam has made headlines after claiming he intends to spiritually target England striker Harry Kane ahead of Tuesday’s World Cup meeting between England and Ghana.

In comments shared publicly, Bonsam said he is “working on Harry Kane” and believes his actions could help Ghana in the match. He added that he is not aiming to cause injury to the England captain, but rather to stop him from performing well on the pitch.

“I am working on Harry Kane. I have shown what I am capable of before so I know what work I must do to stop him,” he said. “I am not wishing him serious injury. It will be just enough to stop him against my country. I will do my work so that it can help Ghana.”

Bonsam is a well known traditional spiritualist in Ghana who has previously made similar claims during major football tournaments. He gained international attention during the 2014 World Cup period when he said he used spiritual means against Cristiano Ronaldo before Portugal faced Ghana.

The latest comments have drawn attention on social media, with fans reacting in different ways. Some view it as part of football folklore and superstition, while others dismiss it as entertainment with no impact on the game.

England and Ghana are expected to meet in a highly anticipated group stage match, with both teams looking to secure important points in the competition.

Despite the attention around the comments, there is no evidence that such claims have any influence on football matches. Kane remains expected to lead England’s attack based on fitness, form, and tactical decisions from the coaching staff.
