Giannis Antetokounmpo, Lillard combine for 74 PTS as Bucks lose again

The Milwaukee Bucks’ struggles continued as they fell 114-113 to the unbeaten Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night.

Despite Damian Lillard’s spectacular 41-point performance, including 10 three-pointers, and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 34 points, 16 rebounds, and 9 assists, the Bucks dropped their fifth straight game.

Milwaukee’s 1-5 start raises concerns about their status as Eastern Conference contenders. Their usually reliable supporting cast failed to deliver, leaving Lillard and Antetokounmpo to carry the load.

Donovan Mitchell’s clutch jumper with 0.3 seconds left sealed the win for Cleveland, who remain perfect at 7-0. The Bucks had taken the lead with 9.8 seconds remaining, but couldn’t hold on.

Injuries haven’t helped, with Khris Middleton still sidelined after ankle surgery. The Bucks’ usually stout defense has also been inconsistent.

After a dismal showing from three-point range in their previous two losses, the Bucks rebounded with 18 three-pointers. However, it wasn’t enough.

Milwaukee has lost five straight since beating Philadelphia on opening night and wasted a big night from Dame, who went crazy from three-point range, hitting 10 of 15.
