Former Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has advised his close friend Victor Osimhen to prioritize financial security by joining the Saudi Pro League for a few years before returning to Europe.
Amid speculation about the 26-year-old Napoli forward’s club future, Ighalo shared his candid thoughts in a video on X:
“We all have opinions, but sometimes that doesn’t matter. Your opinion may not, mine may not. But here is my own opinion, even if you crucify me for it, I don’t care.”

Ighalo, whom Osimhen recently described as someone he holds in the highest esteem, urged the striker to seize the lucrative Saudi opportunity.
“My advice is for him to go to Saudi Arabia, play for two years, make money, and then come back to Europe,” he said.
While Galatasaray reportedly offered €40 million plus instalments, Napoli’s demands for specific payment terms and clauses have stalled negotiations with the Turkish club. The deal is still expected to go through in the coming weeks.
