England captain and Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane has publicly congratulated his former club, Tottenham Hotspur, following their dramatic UEFA Europa League victory, marking the North London side’s first European title in over six decades.
Tottenham clinched the Europa League trophy in a thrilling final in Bilbao on Wednesday night, overcoming local rivals, Manchester United 1–0. The victory sparked jubilation among Spurs fans worldwide, many of whom still revere Kane as a club legend.
In a simple post shared on social media, Kane expressed his joy at seeing his boyhood club succeed on the continental stage.
Kane, who left Tottenham in the summer of 2023 to join Bayern Munich, spent nearly two decades at the North London club, becoming their all-time leading goalscorer and captaining the side through multiple domestic and European campaigns.
Though a major trophy eluded him during his time at the club, he has remained vocal about his affection for Spurs and their supporters.
Tottenham’s victory was sealed with a first half goal from winger Brennan Johnson, capping off a resurgent European campaign under manager Ange Postecoglou.
The result not only ends the club’s long wait for silverware but also secures their spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
