Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has spoken highly of his time playing alongside Lionel Messi at Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite rumours of a strained relationship, Mbappe revealed that he learned a great deal from the Argentine legend.
Mbappe, who has often spoken of his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, described his relationship with Messi as a “student-teacher” dynamic, recalling moments when he sought Messi’s advice and guidance.
During their two seasons together at PSG, both stars combined to devastating effect as PSG claimed two Ligue 1 titles, but missed out on UEFA Champions League success.
Speaking about their relationship, Mbappe said;
“Messi does everything well. You can learn everything from a guy like that.
“I used to go up to him and ask him: How do you do this? How do you do that?”
Messi famously led Argentina to World Cup triumph against Mbappe’s France in 2022, but the pair have maintained a good relationship since.
