The transfer of Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel to Turkish Super League side, Besiktas appears to be over after his father reportedly asked for additional fees without the consent of the player.
Osayi-Samuel’s father, Nelson Osayi, asked for extra €300,000 annually from Besiktas after his son had already agreed a three-year deal worth €1.9 million per year.
The defender, who is currently a free agent after the expiration of his contract at Fenerbache last season, revealed that he was not aware of his father’s financial demand.
Nelson Osayi’s demand reportedly angered Besiktas president Serdal Adalı, who pulled out of the deal immediately.
According to reports in Turkey, Bright Osayi-Samuel reached out to Besiktas for fresh talks as he claimed his father did not inform him before making the extra financial demand.

However, it seems Osayi-Samuel’s appeal has been dismissed as the club shifts its attention to other targets with the Summer transfer window still open.
Besiktas are reportedly interested in Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Nelson Semedo.
Bright Osayi-Samuel, 27, now faces a fresh challenge of securing a new club ahead of the new football season after the collapse of the Besiktas deal.
