Nigerian striker, Tolu Arokodare says joining Wolverhampton Wanderers was an easy decision after sealing a £24 million move from Belgian side Genk.
The 24-year-old, who signed a four-year deal with an option for a fifth, arrives at Molineux on the back of a stellar season in Belgium where he scored 21 league goals and scooped both the Golden Boot and the Ebony Shoe awards.
Speaking after his unveiling, Arokodare made clear how quickly he accepted Wolves’ offer: “I didn’t need convincing. I know the history of the club, the players who have come here and improved, and I want the same for myself. I want to progress, I want to score goals, and I want to help this team.”

The 6ft 6in forward becomes Wolves’ record signing and is expected to ease the scoring burden on Jørgen Strand Larsen, who impressed last season.
With Gary O’Neil’s side enduring a poor start to the Premier League campaign, fans are hopeful Arokodare’s strength, pace and finishing will provide the spark needed.
For the Nigerian, the challenge is one he relishes: “This is the best league in the world. I’m here to compete, to fight, and to prove myself at the highest level.”
With his transfer now complete, Arokodare becomes the latest Nigerian to grace the Premier League, continuing the long tradition of Super Eagles stars making their mark in England.
