Atalanta head coach Ivan Juric has provided a freah update on the situation of Ademola Lookman at the club given his continued absence from the squad this season.
The Super Eagles forward is yet to kick a ball for La Dea this season and Juric’s latest comments suggest the situation won’t change.
Ivan Juric responded to questions on Lookman ahead of Atalanta’s Champions League opener away at PSG after the team’s 4-0 win over Lecce.
Juric told journalist the reigning African Footballer of the Year is very unlikely to feature against the reigning champions in Paris.
“Lookman in Paris? I don’t think so, the situation is unpleasant and not good.”
The Croatian manager insists on having players who are ready to give their all for the team in his squad.
“We need ready guys who want to give their all for the shirt, ” he said, reinforcing the standards he expects from every member of the squad.
Even though Ivan Juric recognizes Ademola Lookman’s talent, the Atalanta boss is adamant on team spirit, commitment and dedication over individual preference.
Ademola Lookman’s ouster from the team comes from the unresolved transfer saga that ensued between him and the club as he attempted to force a move to Inter Milan.
