Kelechi Iheanacho returned to goalscoring after a difficult past few weeks as he sealed maximum points for Celtic on Sunday evening.
The Nigerian international had struggled with injury and lack of match fitness over the past few weeks but made his mark in a vital win away at Dundee United.
Iheanacho came off the bench in the second half as he replaced Czech Republic striker Tomas Cvancara.
South Korea’s Hyun-Jun Yang put Celtic ahead in the eighth minute of the match to register his seventh goal in the league this season.
Despite dominating the first half, the visitors struggled to convert their chances with six shots on target.
Simon Murray made Celtic pay for not increasing their lead as he converted a penalty a few minutes into the second half to restore parity.
Both sides had chances to go ahead before the 80th minute until Iheanacho sealed the winner two minutes later.
The former Leicester City forward buried a left-footed shot into the bottom corner on a second attempt.
The victory leaves Celtic third on the log with 64 points ahead of the second phase of the Scottish Premier League.
