Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho scored the opening goal for Celtic in a dramatic 3-2 victory over Motherwell at Celtic Park on Sunday.
Iheanacho, who is enjoying a fine start to life in Glasgow, ended a two-match scoring drought by coolly converting a 27th-minute penalty to give the Scottish champions the lead.

Motherwell fought back, with Apostolos Stamatelopoulos scoring both their goals—an equaliser before halftime and a penalty in the second half to put the visitors 2-1 up.
However, Celtic came roaring back with goals from Benjamin Nygren and a late winner from Daizen Maeda to seal the 3-2 win.
Following the match, Iheanacho’s strong statistics were highlighted: he has now registered three goals and one assist in six games for Celtic since joining the club last month. Unfortunately for the 28-year-old, he was recently omitted from the Super Eagles squad for their crucial upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin.
