Inter Milan are not giving up on their ambition to sign Super Eagles and reigning African Footballer of the Year, Ademola Lookman.
The Serie A heavyweight have expressed their interest in the 27-year-old winger over the past few weeks. Inter Milan President Beppe Marotta confirmed the club want to sign the player, and this week will be crucial in sealing or walking away from the deal.
Consequently, the Nerazzurri have offered a fresh bid to Atalanta for the services of Lookman as they look to improve their squad ahead of the new football season.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Inter Milan have offered Atalanta €40 million plus €5 million in add-ons.
However, the offer appears to fall below Atalanta’s valuation of the forward, who is currently valued at €60 million.
Atletico Madrid have also shown interest in Ademola Lookman, but the former Spanish La Liga champions are unwilling to match his price tag.
Lookman’s future at Bergamo is uncertain despite having another brilliant season, where he helped the club qualify for the UEFA Champions League with 15 goals and five assists in 31 matches.
Lookman’s eagerness to leave Atalanta has reportedly been tied to his fallout with manager Gian Piero Gasperini, who publicly criticized him for missing a penalty against Club Brugge in the Champions League knockout phase last season.
