Nduka Junior, the captain of the home based Super Eagles – the CHAN Eagles is high on confidence that the team will give Ghana a “bitter pill” ahead of the second leg of the African Nations Championship qualifier.
The CHAN Eagles were held to a goalless draw in the first leg against the Black Galaxies on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Plateau United striker Adamu Abubakar came close to giving the CHAN Eagles the lead in the second half but his shot came off the crossbar.
Ahead of the return fixture, Remo Stars midfielder and captain of the side Nduka Junior believes that the future lies in their hands as they look to secure qualification.
The Remo Stars midfielder made reference to how the Black Stars of Ghana put a bitter pill in the mouths of the Super Eagles as they picked the 2022 World Cup ticket in Abuja.
The midfielder says he’s confident the CHAN Eagles will do the same to the Black Galaxies when they come to Nigeria.
Nduka Junior made this remarks during the Press briefing after the match on Sunday.
The second leg will hold on 28 December at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium as the CHAN Eagles look to qualify for the 2025 African Nations Championship billed for Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya.
