“It’s too dark, smells bad” – Jose Mourinho slams Turkish league after win

Jose Mourinho has heavily criticized the Turkish league after Fenerbahce’s 3-2 victory against Trabzonspor on Sunday night.

Fenerbahce took the lead through Fred before the hosts turned the tie around with two penalty goals courtesy of Simon Banza. The visitors then drew level when Edin Dzeko scored in the 75th minute before ex-Man Utd midfielder, Sofyan Amrabat scored in the 102nd minute, sealing the win and sending Mourinho into a frenzy.

However, during the press conference, Mourinho did not hold back as he launched a heavy tirade on the Super Lig. He stated ‘Nobody abroad wants to watch the Turkish league. Who wants to watch the Turkish League abroad? They have the Premier League, they have the French league, they have the German league, they have the Portuguese league, they have the Dutch league. Why should they see this? It’s too grey. It’s too dark, smells bad. But that’s my job, and I will give everything to my job, to my club.’

He also blasted the performance of the VAR, Atilla Karaoglan. He said: ‘We were in good control, winning 1-0 when Atilla woke up because in the first half he was probably having Turkish tea.

‘Not to say an alcoholic drink so probably was Turkish tea.
