Nigeria international Alex Iwobi has reportedly removed Fulham-related posts from his Instagram, adding to growing speculation over the mood within the Premier League club.
The development comes just days after Iwobi made his 100th Premier League appearance for Fulham in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to Crystal Palace.
The milestone was a significant one for the Super Eagles midfielder, who became only the fifth player in Premier League history to make at least 100 appearances for three different clubs.
However, the landmark came on a difficult afternoon for Fulham, who suffered their third consecutive defeat of the new Premier League campaign.
Fulham have endured a difficult start under new head coach Álvaro Arbeloa, losing all three of their league matches and conceding seven goals in the process.
Iwobi started against Palace and played 83 minutes before being substituted, as Fulham suffered another setback.
The midfielder is not the only Fulham player reportedly making changes to their social media activity.
Emile Smith Rowe has also reportedly removed Fulham-related content from his Instagram, while Kevin is said to have posted a cryptic message after being left on the bench once again.
There have also been reports of frustration from Kenny Tete after the defender was omitted from the squad.
Individually, none of the social media activity confirms a dressing-room crisis, and there has been no official indication from Fulham that there is unrest within the squad.
But with three defeats from three league matches, seven goals conceded and growing frustration among supporters, the developments have inevitably raised questions about the atmosphere at Craven Cottage.
