Iwobi’s father hails son ahead of 100th Super Eagles appearance

Chuka Iwobi is full of praise for his son ahead of his 100th appearance for the Super Eagles ahead of the international friendly against Portugal.

Iwobi’s father revealed how dedicated and passionate his son is about the Super Eagles which has seen him achieve a milestone with the team.

He admitted that Alex Iwobi has had good and average moments with the team.butbhas remained strong and learnt from the experience.

Chuka Iwobi shared his thoughts with the Nigeria Football Federation media ahead of Wednesday’s clash against World Cup favourites Portugal.

“When he made his debut in 2015, little did we know that this was the beginning of an amazing and incredible journey which would lead to him achieving 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐬 and with the potential of many more caps to come.”

“Alex loves playing for the nation and always gives his best. No one can ever question his commitment, devotion and patriotism while wearing the green-and-white.”

“There have been highs and lows over the years but he has emerged stronger from the experience of playing for the country.”

Chuka Iwobi hopes that his son continues to do well for that national teamminnhis closing remarks on his son’s achievement.

Alex Iwobi is set to join former Super Eagles captains Ahmed Musa, Vincent Enyeama and Joseph Yobo in the league of players with 100 caps or more for the Super Eagles should he feature gainst Portugal tomorrow.
