Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has caught the attention of South African giants Kaizer Chiefs once again.
The 28-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Amakhosi in the summer but ultimately signed a new three-year contract with Chippa United, where he was also appointed captain.
Nwabali has been in impressive form this season, keeping four clean sheets in 11 league appearances, helping Chippa United to sixth place in the league standings.
However, Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly set to rekindle their interest in the shot-stopper in January, according to Soccerladuma.
Chiefs have struggled defensively this term, conceding a league-high 13 goals, and Nwabali’s services could be just what they need to shore up their backline.
The Nigerian was also liked with a move to English Championship side QPR, but his immediate future may lie in the South African shores.
