Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signing of Nigerian forward Etiosa Ighodaro via a statement on their website.
Ighodaro brings a solid Premiership pedigree, having accumulated 72 appearances across stints with AmaZulu FC, SuperSport United, and Chippa United.
He’s a graduate of Abuja Football College, and he has also featured for the University of Pretoria. Before he arrived in South Africa in 2021, Etiosa showcased his talents with Abuja Football College at the esteemed Viareggio Cup.
Kaizer Chiefs’ sporting director, Kaizer Motaung Jr., expressed enthusiasm about the signing:

He was absent from the lineup in the team’s recent 1-0 Premiership victory against Richards Bay on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old striker is the sibling of ex-Nigeria international Osaguona Ighodaro, who featured for the Super Eagles during the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, making substitute appearances against South Africa and Sudan.
Ighodaro Christian Osaguona played for a handful of clubs, including Shooting Stars, Enugu Rangers, Enugu Rangers, KV Mechelen, and Westerloo, among others.
