Kelechi Iheanacho, despite featuring prominently in Sevilla’s pre-season, remains a prime candidate to depart the Spanish club this summer.
Mexican side Pumas UNAM have reached out to Sevilla regarding a potential transfer for the Super Eagles striker, according to Gola TV.

Iheanacho, who joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer after his Leicester City contract expired, has struggled to make an impact.
Under coach Garcia Pimienta, he was overshadowed by Isaac Romero, managing limited minutes in the first half of the 2024/25 season.
A loan move to Middlesbrough in the winter window yielded just one goal and two assists in 15 appearances.

Former Sevilla sporting director Victor Orta later called Iheanacho’s signing a mistake, and the club will be eager to recoup some value after bringing in the Nigerian to Spain on a free transfer last summer.
Iheanacho will be keen to rediscover the form that made him one of the most exciting players in the Premier League, leading Leicester City to the FA Cup win in 2021.
