Kevin De Bruyne stunned Manchester City fans by announcing his decision to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The Belgium international’s departure has sparked speculation about his next club as he embarks on a new journey that is expected to be outside Europe.
During his ten-year tenure at the Etihad, De Bruyne won numerous trophies, including the Champions League and six Premier League titles.
Manager Pep Guardiola praised De Bruyne’s significant impact on the club, stating that he would bet “big money” on De Bruyne being honored with a statue outside the Etihad.
Several clubs are reportedly interested in signing De Bruyne, including top Saudi clubs and MLS expansion side San Diego FC. Moving to the United States could see the Belgian line up against Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi.
While the MLS and SPL are considered his most likely destinations, De Bruyne has also been linked to potential returns to his former clubs, Genk and Wolfsburg.
