Manchester City fans were treated to an emotional night at the Etihad Stadium as club legend Vincent Kompany lifted the Premier League trophy during a special parade celebrating the club’s dominance under Pep Guardiola.
The event featured a remarkable display of all 20 major trophies won during Guardiola’s reign, with each piece of silverware individually carried onto the pitch by special guests in front of thousands of supporters.
Kompany, who captained City during one of the most successful periods in the club’s history, received the loudest ovation of the evening as he stepped onto the pitch to hoist the Premier League title once again. The former Belgian defender travelled from Germany, where he is currently managing Bayern Munich, to take part in the celebration.
Supporters inside the Etihad chanted Kompany’s name as he raised the iconic silverware, recreating memories of his leadership and unforgettable moments in City colours, including his famous long-range strike against Leicester City during the 2018/19 title race.
The parade served as a tribute to the most successful era in Manchester City’s history, with the club reflecting on a decade of domestic and European success under Guardiola. From Premier League titles to cup triumphs and continental glory, the celebration highlighted the transformation of City into one of world football’s dominant forces.
Club officials described the event as both a celebration of past achievements and a tribute to the players and figures who helped shape the club’s modern identity, with Kompany’s appearance symbolising the connection between City’s rise to power and their continued success.
