Stanley Nwabali Missing as Eric Chelle Names Squad for June Friendlies and Unity Cup

Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has released his squads for the upcoming Unity Cup tournament and June international friendlies against Poland and Portugal, with first-choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali missing from both lists.

For the June international friendlies, Nigeria will take on Poland on June 3 before facing Portugal on June 11.

The invited goalkeepers are Maduka Okoye (Udinese, Italy), Francis Uzoho (Omonia FC, Cyprus) and Arthur Okonkwo (Wrexham FC, England).

Defenders invited include Bruno Onyemaechi (Olympiakos, Greece), Zaidu Sanusi (FC Porto, Portugal), Bright Osayi-Samuel (Birmingham City, England), Calvin Bassey (Fulham, England), Semi Ajayi (Hull City, England), Emmanuel Fernandez (Rangers, Scotland) and Igoh Ogbu (Slavia Prague, Czech Republic).

The midfielders are Alex Iwobi (Fulham, England), Frank Onyeka (Coventry City, England), Wilfred Ndidi (Besiktas, Turkey), Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (Lazio, Italy), Raphael Onyedika (Club Brugge, Belgium), Tochukwu Nnadi (Olympique Marseille, France) and Yusuf Alhassan (New England Revolution, USA).

In attack, Chelle invited Ademola Lookman (Atalanta, Italy), Samuel Chukwueze (Fulham, England), Moses Simon (Paris FC, France), Owen Oseni (Plymouth FC, England), Paul Onuachu (Trabzonspor, Turkey), Akor Adams (Sevilla, Spain), Victor Osimhen (Galatasaray, Turkey) and Terem Moffi (FC Porto, Portugal).

The defenders named are Emmanuel Fernandez (Rangers, Scotland), Chibuike Nwafor (Trabzonspor, Turkey), Igoh Ogbu (Slavia Prague, Czech Republic), Elias Ochoba (Rivers United, Nigeria), Chibueze Ohuta (Rangers FC, Nigeria), Obinna Igboeze (Rangers FC, Nigeria) and Bruno Onyemaechi (Olympiakos FC, Greece).

Midfielders invited for the tournament are Wilfred Ndidi (Besiktas JK, Turkey), Samson Tijani (FK Dukla Prague, Czech Republic), Raphael Onyedika (Club Brugge, Belgium), Tochukwu Nnadi (Olympique Marseille, France), Ebenezer Akinsanmiro (Pisa FC, Italy), Yusuf Alhassan (New England Revolution, USA), Aderemi Adegoke (Ikorodu City, Nigeria), Ayobami Junior (Shooting Stars, Nigeria) and Oyedokun Tosin (Ikorodu City, Nigeria).

The forwards for the Unity Cup are Moses Simon (Paris FC, France), Akor Adams (Sevilla FC, Spain), Otele Philip (Hamburger SV, Germany), Owen Oseni (Plymouth FC, England), Zadok Abu Yohanna (AEK Greece), Terem Moffi (FC Porto, Portugal), Rafiu Durosinmi (Pisa FC, Italy) and Femi Azeez (Millwall FC, England).
