Real Madrid missed the opportunity to go top of the table as Isi Palazon helped Rayo Vallecano earn a 3-3 draw at the Estadio de Vallecas.
The hosts took a surprise lead in the 4th minute through Unai Lopez, who headed home Jorge de Frutos’ pinpoint cross.
Rayo doubled their advantage in the 36th minute, with Isi Palazon’s corner finding Abdul Mumin at the back post to nod past Thibaut Courtois.

However, Real Madrid fought back, with Federico Valverde scoring from 30 yards out in the 39th minute. Jude Bellingham then leveled the score just before halftime, directing Rodrygo’s cross into the bottom corner.
Rodrygo thought he had completed the comeback with a stunning shot from the edge of the box, but Palazon got a crucial touch on Florian Lejeune’s ball to push it past Courtois and secure a superb draw for Rayo.
