A report has revealed why Leicester City coach dropped Wilfred Ndidi’s teammate, ex-England international Harry Wainks, from his squad in the 2-0 loss to Manchester City on Wednesday.
Harry Winks was not available for selection as the Foxes lost the 14th loss of their last 15 matches.
Ruud Van Nisterooy dropped Winks after the duo got involved in a heated exchange during the March international break.
Harry Winks declined Nisterooy’s request to stay at the club facility one day a week in a bio cut short his 100-mile-a-day travel to the training from Hertfordshire.
However, the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has maintained the same routine since he joined the club.
It is unclear whether Harry Winks will be available for selection on Monday as Leicester City host newly-crowned Carabao Cup winners Newcastle United.
Meanwhile, Harry Winks posted a picture of his new-born child on his Instagram page on Thursday night, which could had a further twist to the matter.
Ruud Van Nisterooy has a difficult task of helping Leicester City escape relegation with eight matches to go before the season ends.
The Foxes are 19th in the log with 17 points from 30 matches.
