Ligue 1: PSG dominate, Le Havre edge Lens, Nice triumph away

In an exhilarating evening of Ligue 1 football on Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain showcased their supremacy with a commanding victory over Lille, Le Havre edged out Lens in a high-scoring affair, and Nice secured an impressive away win against Saint-Étienne.

 

Paris Saint-Germain 4 – 1 Lille

At the Parc des Princes, PSG delivered a masterclass performance, overwhelming Lille with a 4-1 victory. The home side set the tone early, with Bradley Barcola opening the scoring in the 6th minute, capitalizing on a rebound from an Ousmane Dembélé attempt.

Defender Marquinhos doubled the lead in the 22nd minute, showcasing his attacking prowess. Dembélé, in scintillating form, netted his 26th goal of the season in the 28th minute, reinforcing his status as the league’s top scorer.

Desire Doue added a fourth in the 37th minute with a powerful strike. Lille’s Jonathan David managed a consolation goal in the 80th minute, but the night belonged to PSG, who displayed relentless intensity throughout.

Lens 3 – 4 Le Havre

In a thrilling encounter at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis, Le Havre emerged victorious over Lens with a 4-3 scoreline. Lens started brightly, with Neil El Aynaoui converting a penalty in the 3rd minute and Ruben Aguilar extending the lead in the 19th.

However, Le Havre responded vigorously; Issa Soumaré and André Ayew scored in the 28th and 33rd minutes, respectively, to level the match. Florian Sotoca restored Lens’ lead in the 48th minute, but Josué Casimir equalized again for Le Havre in the 62nd. The decisive moment came in stoppage time when Ahmed Hassan converted a penalty in the 91st minute, sealing a remarkable comeback for Le Havre.

 

Saint-Étienne 1 – 3 Nice

Nice secured a convincing 3-1 victory against Saint-Étienne at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard. The visitors took an early lead through Pablo Rosario in the 10th minute.

Saint-Étienne’s Lucas Stassin equalized in the 32nd minute, but an own goal by Mickaël Nadé in the 52nd minute put Nice back in front. Evann Guessand sealed the win for Nice with a goal in the 70th minute, ensuring all three points for the visitors.
