Premier League champions, Liverpool ended their four game losing streak on Wednesday night with a comprehensive victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Reds came into the tie on the back of a 2-1 loss to fierce rivals Manchester United on Sunday at Anfield.

Arne Slot’s men started the tie looking to get their first win in four games but went behind in the 26th minute as Rasmus Kristensen put the host ahead.

However, the lead lasted for less than 10 minutes as French forward Hugo Ekitike zoomed past his markers in a beautiful solo run before slotting the ball into the back of the net.

Virgil van Dijk put the Reds ahead shortly after with a header from Cody Gakpo’s corner kick.

Ibrahima Konate scored from similar fashion just before the break as he met Dominik Szoboszlai’s corner kick with a header.

Reigning world champions, Chelsea also recorded a 5-1 win as the Blues blew away former European champions, Ajax Amsterdam at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca’s men did most of the damage in the first half with Enzo Fernandez and Estêvão scoring from the penalty spot.

Mark Guiu has earlier given the Blues the lead after 18 minutes of action after Ajax’s Kenneth Taylor picked up a straight red card.

In other results, Bayern Munich continued their impressive start to the season as they pounced on Club Brugge at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Harry Kane scored his 17th goal of the season while Nicolas Jackson came off the bench to complete the 4-0 win over the Belgian side.

Real Madrid secured a 1-0 win over Juventus at the Santiago Bernabeu courtesy of a rebound from English midfielder Jude Bellingham in the second half.
