Social media influencer and professional boxer Logan Paul has publicly challenged football legend, Lionel Messi to a boxing match.
This proposition aims to resolve an ongoing legal battle between their respective energy drink brands: Paul’s “Prime” and Messi’s “Mas+”.
The dispute began when Mas+ accused Prime of anti-competitive behavior, leading to a lawsuit. In response, Prime filed a countersuit, alleging that Mas+ had infringed on their trademarked design.
Frustrated by the legal proceedings, Paul suggested settling the matter in the boxing ring. In a recent video, he stated, “All jokes aside, I will consider dropping this if Logan Paul vs. Messi gets made in 2025. I’ll see you in the ring, brother.”
Paul, known for his boxing matches against high-profile opponents and appearances in WWE, co-founded Prime in 2022 with fellow YouTuber KSI.
The brand quickly gained popularity, leading to partnerships with major sports teams. Messi’s Mas+, launched in June 2024, has been accused by Prime of mimicking their product’s design, intensifying the rivalry between the two brands.
As of now, Messi, currently playing for Inter Miami in Major League Soccer, has not responded to Paul’s challenge. The football star is known for his reserved demeanor and has no history in combat sports, making a potential boxing match between the two an intriguing yet unlikely prospect.
