In a one-sided affair at the Estadio José Zorrilla, Real Madrid ran out 3-0 winners against Real Valladolid, thanks to a sensational hat-trick from Kylian Mbappé.
The French forward’s incredible form continued as he single-handedly dismantled Valladolid, scoring all three goals to extend Madrid’s lead at the top of the La Liga table.
The match started with Real Madrid immediately asserting their dominance, controlling possession and creating early chances. In the 30th minute, Mbappé opened the scoring with a brilliant curling effort from just outside the penalty box, sending the ball into the top corner beyond Valladolid’s goalkeeper, Jordi Hein. The strike was a moment of individual brilliance from the French star, who had been involved in several build-up plays leading up to the goal.
Valladolid tried to respond but struggled to break through Madrid’s well-organized defense. Their best chance came just before halftime when a cross from Anuar was headed narrowly wide by Mohamed Sylla. Real Madrid, however, went into the break with a deserved 1-0 lead, looking the more dangerous side.
Real Madrid came out of the locker room with the same intensity, and it was Mbappé once again who doubled their advantage in the 57th minute. After a rapid counter-attack led by Rodrygo, the ball found Mbappé in space on the edge of the area. With a calm touch, he slotted the ball past Hein to make it 2-0, taking control of the match.
The game was sealed in the final minute of regulation time. A foul by Valladolid’s Mario Martín on Bellingham inside the penalty area awarded Real Madrid a penalty. Mbappé, showing his usual composure, stepped up and coolly converted, completing his hat-trick and ensuring all three points for the visitors.
The win sees Real Madrid maintain their place at the top of the La Liga standings, four points above rivals, Atlético Madrid in second place while Valladolid continues to struggle in the bottom half of the table.
