Maduka Okoye is set to be out of action for a while after a severe discomfort to his right wrist after the loss to Genoa.
The Super Eagles goalkeeper suffered an injury to the scapholunate ligament of his right wrist according to a statement on the website of Udinese.
Udinese will be without their first choice goalkeeper for a few weeks as he’s set to under surgery in the days ahead.
Okoye was in goal for Udinese in the club’s 2-0 home loss to Genoa last weekend. The 25-year-old was in goal for the entire duration of the match.
Udinese’s poor run of form has seen Okoye struggle with clean sheets in recent matches in the league.
Maduka Okoye conceded 10 goals in 5 matches recently as Udinese poor run of form continue.
Okoye is expected to be back in action in the new year.
