Jelicia Westhoff, the Dutch mother of Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye’s son, has unleashed a scathing attack on the Nigerian international, accusing him of physical abuse, infidelity, and abandoning their child. The outburst comes just a day after Okoye was pictured having dinner with American rapper Cardi B in Venice, fueling weeks of dating speculation between the pair.
Westhoff took to her Instagram Story to dismiss suggestions that her frustration stems from jealousy over Okoye’s rumoured romance. “You think this is about a woman?” she wrote. She accused Okoye of painting her as bitter, writing, “You make me look like I’m a bitter baby mother; I helped you when no one was there. I made you. No one knew who you was.”
The model alleged that Okoye beat her and cheated on her with both men and women during their relationship. “Instead of loving me, you beat and cheated on me with men and woman,” she wrote. She went further, accusing him of neglecting their son entirely, writing, “You don’t take care of your only son. You don’t call your son, you don’t see your son because you’re too busy punishing his mother and being a baddie on social media.”
Westhoff recalled financially supporting Okoye before he made his name in football, writing, “Your son that you wanted so badly when you were still broke, and I had to give you money.” She said their son has gone without seeing his father for an extended stretch, stating, “Your son hasn’t seen you for months. You promise him to pick him up, and you just don’t because you’re still busy punishing mommy.” She put his appearances in context, adding, “You saw him 2 times this year. 3 times last year.”
She also revealed that she has held back from taking legal action against Okoye for years, saying fear of retaliation against their child kept her silent. “I was so scared to take you to court, so scared to press charges, so scared to do anything, because I knew you would punish our child,” she wrote, adding that she had given him “1000000 chances” to be present as a father. “If you had taken care of him, I would’ve shut my mouth for the rest of our lives,” she said.
Westhoff accused Okoye of rejecting their son outright and humiliating her publicly. “You rejected our child. You openly embarrass me. I tried everything to co-parent with you. Even your family feels embarrassed,” she wrote. She said her legal team has been pressing him directly on the matter, adding, “My lawyers have been sending him mails for weeks and months to take care of his son.”
The Dutch influencer challenged Okoye to prove his involvement in their son’s life rather than focus on his public appearances. “You just don’t go out and feed people instead of doing what you have to do for your child. Ask him for 3 recent pictures with our son, and I will be quiet,” she wrote.
Okoye is yet to respond publicly to the allegations amidst ongoing dating rumours with American rapper Cardi B – a mother of four from two previous relationships.
