Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie stood in between the sticks for the entirety of the match as Manchester City beat Brighton and Hove Albion to win the 2025/2026 FA Cup at Wembley.
Nnadozie had an average performance in the final as Brighton suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat on Sunday afternoon.
Jamaican striker Khadija Shaw put Manchester City ahead in the 38th minute with a header after Nnadozie failed to hold the ball from Alex Greenwood’s cross.
Alex Greenwood doubled the lead in the sixth minute of added time to give Man City a 2-0 lead into the first half break.
Aoba Fujino and Vivianne Miedema came off the bench to score in the second half as City wrapped up the tie with a 4-0 win to dethrone Manchester United as the new Women’s FA Cup champions.
Brighton came into the final on the back of victories over Nottingham Forest, West Ham, Arsenal, and Liverpool en route to the final.
Unfortunately, Nnadozie and her mates crumbled in the final hurdle as their brilliant run in the cup ended in excruciating loss.
