Nigerian pop star Peter Okoye, one half of the legendary duo (Psquare), has assured Chelsea fans that he and Super Eagles legend John Obi Mikel are still working behind the scenes to bring Victor Osimhen to Stamford Bridge.
Osimhen, 26, has been heavily linked with Chelsea for over a year before he left Napoli for Galatasaray, where he has just delivered a historic season to lead the Turkish giants to league glory.
The Blues nearly signed him in 2024, but a deal with Napoli fell through, leading to his season-long loan at Galatasaray instead.
Chelsea remain determined to sign a new center-forward this summer, and Osimhen is a primary target as the club looks to add a proven goalscorer ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Peter revealed, “Dear @ChelseaFC fans, last summer, both @mikel_john_obi and I made every effort to secure the signing of @victorosimhen9 for Chelsea, including engaging in a three-way call right up until the transfer deadline.
“I want to reassure all of you that we remain steadfast in our pursuit and will continue our efforts this summer. Fingers crossed.”
