Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has revealed his choice for the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner.
Last week, France Football, the organizers of football’s most prestigious individual award, unveiled a 30-man shortlist. Among them is Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, whom Casemiro believes should claim the prize, calling him the favorite for this year.
Salah’s standout performance in the 2024-25 season undoubtedly positions him as a top contender.
The Egyptian forward notched 34 goals and delivered 23 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions, playing a pivotal role in Arne Slot’s Liverpool securing the Premier League title.
Speaking to British GQ, Casemiro praised Salah’s all-around impact, as quoted by The Touchline:
“Mohamed Salah. He is the best player, with his impact on the game. He scores so much, assists so much. The most balanced player last season was Salah.”

Despite the competition, Salah is widely expected to rank among the top 5 in France Football’s final standings.
