Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has described this season as the most difficult of his managerial career.
After securing four consecutive titles, City struggled to maintain their high standards, dropping out of the Premier League title race early and suffering elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid in the first knockout round.

Despite these setbacks, the dethroned champions remain in contention for silverware, with a potential FA Cup win against Crystal Palace and a strong chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
However, Guardiola, who has managed top clubs like Barcelona and Bayern Munich over his 17-year career, insists this season has been his toughest.
“It’s been the most difficult, that’s for sure. It’s been more demanding, much more. When you don’t win, it’s more demanding emotionally and in terms of preparation, and the moods and everything.
“For sure, it’s been more difficult. It’s been more difficult than the previous seasons we played for the titles,” Guardiola said.
