Mourinho reunites with long-serving Chelsea staff ahead of Champions League clash.

Jose Mourinho met with a couple of Chelsea’s old backroom staff upon arrival at Stamford Bridge ahead of the Champions League fixture between Chelsea and Benfica on Tuesday night.

The Portuguese manager exchanged pleasantries with some of the staff he worked with during his two stints at the club, including Theresa Connelly, who has worked at Chelsea for 48 years.

Mourinho arrived at Chelsea in 2004 and won the Premier League in his debut season and defended it successfully a season later.

He won three Premier League titles, three League Cups, one FA Cup, and one Community Shield during his two stints at the London Club.

However, while addressing the media ahead of tomorrow night’s fixture, Jose Mourinho said he feels at home and will forever be a “Blue,” but he’s back at Stamford Bridge to win with his new club, Benfica.

“I feel at home here. But I’m not a Blue anymore… I am a Red now, and I want to win”.

Benfica started their Champions League campaign with a shocking loss to debutants Qarabag under now ex-manager Bruno Lage.
