Nasarawa United pulled off one of the day’s biggest results with a disciplined 1–0 victory over Bendel Insurance at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
The home side dominated possession for long spells but lacked creativity in the final third, allowing Nasarawa to sit deep and frustrate them.

The breakthrough did not come until the third minute of additional time through defender, Mohammed Garba sparking wild jubilations amongst traveling supporters.
In Maiduguri, El-Kanemi Warriors claimed a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Kano Pillars in one of the standout fixtures of the round. Daddy Abdulrahman was the hero for the home side, scoring a brace in the second half.
Pillars pulled one back in the 89th minute through Suleiman Idris but it proved only to be a consolation goal as the home side held on firmly for the three points.
