The roar at the King Power Stadium after the blast of the final whistle was that of relief and delight as Ruud van Nisterooy began his reign at Leicester City with an impressive win over Westham.

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi had an impressive game under his new manager as the Foxes hammered the Hammers 3-1 on Tuesday night..

Ndidi played the entire duration of the match and was much involved in tackles, clearances and interceptions as he helped protect the back four.

Ruud van Nisterooy used Ndidi in a 4-2-3-1 set up similar to Steve Cooper’s set up but with changes im personels and better off the ball defense structure.

However, the call for penalty from the visitors was ignored by the referees who didn’t see a malicious intent from the Nigerian midfieder.

Goals from veteran English striker Jamie Vardy, Moroccan midfielder, Bilal El Khannouss and Zambain striker Patson Daka secureeld 3-1 for Ruud van Nisterooy in his first game in charge.

Vardy scored the first goal of the new era inside two minutes of kick off while other two goals came in the second half as the home side consolidated their lead.

The win ended Leicester City’s six games winless run and poor start to the season which lead to the sacking of former manager Steve Cooper last week.
