Newcaste goal-machine Isak finally opens up on transfer links to Arsenal, Liverpool

As the summer transfer window approaches, Alexander Isak’s future has been the subject of much speculation. However, the Newcastle United striker has provided some clarity on his plans.

Speaking to Swedish outlet Fotbollskanal while on international duty with Sweden, Isak reiterated his love for Newcastle United and his focus on the present.

“It’s been written how much I love the city and the club, how well I feel there. I’m not thinking about the future.”

Isak emphasized his commitment to Newcastle, saying:

“I just want to perform for Newcastle. Now we won the cup, but we want to finish strong and reach the Champions League games. That’s where my focus lies.”

Fresh from scoring against Liverpool in the EFL Cup final, the Swede has been instrumental in helping Newcastle end a seven-decade trophy drought.

Isak arrived from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022 and has developed into one of the best strikers in world football.
