President of Nigeria Football Federation Ibrahim Gusau is the new president of CAF West Zone B football union.
Ibrahim Gusau was appointed the new head of the subregional football body following the resignation of Ghana’s Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku.
The official X page of the Nigeria Football Federation confirmed the development in a statement on Monday.
The new President of CAF West Zone B is Mr. Ibrahim Musa Gusau, President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF)🇳🇬 .
He was appointed to succeed Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku following the latter’s resignation and enjoys strong support among the zone’s members to bring continuity and dynamism to WAFU Zone B.
Kurt Okraku has been president of the body since 2019 after taking over from his countryman Kwesi Nyanyakyi.
WAFU organizes tournaments for CAF national team competitions except for the Africa Cup of Nations.
WAFU Zone B consists of Nigeria, Benin Republic, Ghana, Togo, Burkina-Faso, and Niger.
