In a landmark collaboration unveiled today, the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) has partnered with renowned sportswear brand, Umbro to introduce the official jerseys for Nigeria’s national rugby teams.
This initiative, facilitated by Flovale Consulting, signifies a fusion of sports, fashion, and national pride, aiming to elevate the global presence of Nigerian rugby.
The creative force behind the new jersey design is the sibling duo of Teni Zaccheaus Jr., popularly known as Teezee, and Iretidayo Zaccheaus, also known as Iretizee.
Teezee, a multifaceted artist and entrepreneur, alongside his sister Iretizee, a leading fashion entrepreneur and founder of Street Souk, have seamlessly blended Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage with contemporary aesthetics to craft a jersey that resonates both on and off the field.
The design captures the nation’s vibrant spirit, appealing to style-conscious audiences worldwide.
Dr. Ademola Are, President of the NRFF, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “This collaboration is a testament to NRFF’s commitment to identifying common objectives with private entities and fostering effective collaborations”.
“It underscores the immense potential of rugby in Nigeria and our dedication to working with progressive, forward-thinking organizations for the betterment of our players and stakeholders.”
The unveiling of these jerseys marks a new era for Nigerian rugby, positioning the sport at the intersection of athletic excellence and cultural expression.
