Chiamaka Nnadozie has been shortlisted for the PFA Women’s Super League Fans’ Player of the Month award for September, following a string of impressive performances between the posts for Albion.
Since joining the club, Nnadozie has featured in five matches, recording two clean sheets and playing a key role in Albion’s strong start to the WSL campaign.
Her standout displays throughout September helped the team earn seven points from their opening four fixtures, including a notable result against Manchester City.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed an outstanding year at both club and international level. She played a pivotal part in Nigeria’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations triumph, where she was named Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament, and made history as the first African goalkeeper nominated for the Women’s Yashin Trophy at the Ballon d’Or.
Nnadozie faces competition for the monthly award from Aggie Beever-Jones (Chelsea), Melvine Malard (Manchester United), Alessia Russo (Arsenal), Bunny Shaw (Manchester City), and Cathinka Tandberg (Tottenham Hotspur).
