Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has posted a cryptic but confident post on social media after making history with Trabzonspor in their win over Fatih Karagümrük.
Paul Onuachu, scored once and also provided an assist to help Trabzonspor secure 3-1 victory on Friday night.
Since he returned from the Africa Cup of Nations, Onuachu has been in terrific form scoring against Kasımpaşa, Antalyaspor, Samsunspor, Fenerbahçe, Gaziantep FK, and Fatih Karagümrük.
His goal against Karaümrük is his seventh in six consecutive league matches, making him the first player in the club’s history to reach such a milestone.
Following the remarkable milestone, Onuachu shared a controversial message that exudes confidence on his Instagram page as he reflects on his hardwork and dedication to his craft.
“No paid media. No bought hype. Just hard work, quality, and goals,” the Super Eagles striker wrote.
Nigerian football fans online are off the opinion that Onuachu’s cryptic message is a subtle shade on Victor Osimhen who is not doing badly in the league so far but quite popular among top social media influencers.
Victor Osimhen win the Turkish Super Lig Golden Boot last season with 25 goals and Paul Onuachu is on course to replicate the feat.
Onuachu currently leads the scorers chart with 18 goals to his name and he’s closely followed by Istanbul Basaksehir’s Eldor Shomurodov who has 16.
Onuachu’s impressive form has kept Trabzonspor not to far away from the title race in the Süper Lig.
Victor Osimhen’s Galatasaray lead the log with 58 points, Fenerbahçe have 54 while Trabzonspor are in the third spot with 51 points with 10 matches left.
